I am a self-taught artist based in Sydney, Australia.

 

I have had a passion for drawing and painting since I was very young and have been fortunate to have dabbled in most mediums over many years. I particularly love the challenge of colour pencils, pastels and oils. 

 

While I have painted/drawn still life and landscapes my passion is portraits and, in particular, people, dogs, cats and horses. I think that the eyes say so much, and I enjoy bringing out the personality of each subject through my drawings/paintings.

My renderings are highly realistic and one of a kind using the best quality papers/canvas and graphite/colour pencils/pastels and oil paints with the highest degrees of permanence and lightfastness so that the finished product retains a brightness for many years to come.

I traditionally render from a range of good quality, detailed photographs that reflect as many of the facets of the subject as possible. This enables me to not only create a likeness but add the sparkle which is the personality that is so unique to your pet or family member/friend.
